APV treating minor injury

For many year Alaska Professional Volunteers has provided medics to the AFC (Alaska Fighting Championships). Not only do we provide a valuable service to the fighters it is a station unlike any other.

Medics Deb and Ryan provide wound care to fighter and assess status to see if hospital care is needed.

Doug Echternacht and myself (Adam Appel) have lead and trained many teams of medics to work the unique demands of the AFC for many years working along with other great medics, it is always a team effort. We all train to assess, treat, advise and prepare patients for AFD transport (if needed) the toll the fights takes on the fighters.
